The guard marches out of the barracks and toward Buckingham Palace The guard band leaves the barracks and heads toward Buckingham Palace. Buckingham Palace...this one is for my mom, and no, we didn't see the Queen (although the flag is up, so she was home!)
David enjoys a scone with jam and clotted cream Joshua eats a scone with jam...and is silly, of course. I finally got my tea with scones and clotted cream at the Tower of London.
Just in case you want to get your head cut off Westminster Abbey. My favorite thing in London was Poet's Corner. Elijah with Big Ben.
View from the London Eye of Parliament and Big Ben Joshua in the WWI trenches. This experience along with the Blitzkrieg experience changed his perspective a bit on battles and war and especially our rule that he isn't allowed to play Call of Duty. :-) Joshua poses next to some bombs at the Imperial War Museum. This was our first stop in London to make our army-crazed boy happy.
Boys posing by a tank in the Imperial War Museum. I have no idea what era this tank is from...if memory serves...the late 1800s? Early 1900s? Juxtaposing some lovely English roses with a big cannon. But my boys are darling. Look kids, Big Ben, Parliament. Of course, we are on the London Eye, which was fabulous.
